Miss Queue formed in Oceanside, CA, around 2014 by Jaclyn and James Hunter. James played percussion and the original format had a dark folk acoustic sound. This married couple moved to Vero Beach, FL, in January 2023. One year later, bass player, "Danger" Dane Marckle joined. James passed away in December 2024 due to complications related to a progressive type Multiple Sclerosis (MS). One of his last wishes were for the band to continue and Jaclyn continues to honor this wish.

Jaclyn and James met Lucas Bradford (lead guitar) and Justin Eriskyne-Turner (drums) around May 2023 when they played in a band called Off the Rails. Friendship grew after hosting them multiple times when they played a show in the local area. After James passed, Jaclyn asked them to join Miss Queue and they were delighted. Rumors still circle about how Jaclyn "stole" them from Off the Rails.
